Firstly, the JuniorFlux Adblue drum pump is designed without a mechanical seal in the liquid contact area. This seal-less architecture eliminates wear parts, therefore reducing the need for repairs and preventative maintenance. The materials of construction resist degradation or oxidation from ammonia that is present in Urea and DEF solutions, ensuring chemical compatibility and extended reliability.
This pump features Flux’s proprietary spiral PTFE/carbon shaft bearing. The high surface area bearing provides exceptional support for the stainless steel driveshaft. Moreover, this unique component reduces shaft deflection and friction and ensures concentric rotation during operation – critical for extending pump service life.
The ETFE impeller is engineered to deliver consistent, low-turbulence flow in low-viscosity media such as AdBlue® and Urea solutions, even during extended duty cycles. This is helpful when handling these liquids, which can degrade or form crystalline deposits if exposed to excessive turbulence. In addition, the impeller geometry delivers smooth flow without pulsation – ideal for drip-free dispensing.
The FEM 3070 electric motor with dual-speed control allows operators to select either a high flow rate for rapid transfer, or a lower speed for controlled dispensing. The light-weight, ergonomically designed hand nozzle makes filling operations easy, and reduces the risk of overfilling or splashing when topping up smaller containers or vehicle reservoirs. Additionally, the motor’s S1 continuous duty rating guarantees reliable performance, even in heavy-duty applications.
With its 32 mm diameter, the pump tube can consequently be inserted into narrow drum openings and smaller vessels. This is especially beneficial in mobile service environments and workshops where smaller containers are common. The slimline design reduces weight for easier handling, while retained residual liquid volume is reduced, minimising product waste.
With an ambient temperature operating range of -20°C to +40°C, this pump kit is well-suited to use in fleet depots and agricultural sheds, plus unheated garages. The motor’s strong polyamide housing resists thermal deformation and an internal overload cut-out provides automatic protection during voltage surges or a mechanical blockage. Furthermore, the pump is suitable for handling liquids up to a max. temperature of 45 deg C.
Finally, all wetted parts – including the polypropylene (PP) pump tube, ETFE impeller and FKM seals in the hand nozzle – have been rigorously tested for AdBlue® compatibility. These materials exhibit high resistance to urea, thermal hydrolysis and UV degradation, therefore complying with ISO 22241 handling recommendations.
