Firstly, the F 424’s seal-less configuration completely eliminates the requirement for a mechanical seal. Importantly, this design reduces maintenance requirements and risk of failure through accidental dry running. Additional benefits include lower risk of leakage, media contamination and unplanned downtime. Furthermore, this design contains no wetted o-rings, thereby providing worry-free compatibility with a range of corrosive fluids.
Inside the inner tube, our unique PTFE spiral bearing provides consistent shaft support over a wide surface area. This spiral arrangement enhances vibration damping and ensures minimal shaft deflection even under heavy loads, extending both shaft and bearing lifespan. Additionally, the lower bearing housing is oversized when compared to competitor’s pumps. This consequently provides enhanced axial stability under dynamic loads, prolonging service life.
The ETFE axial impeller delivers flow rates up to 60 LPM, with the discharge hose and hand nozzle connected. This makes it ideal for quick, efficient emptying of small containers such as hobbocks, or 60L drums. The variable speed motor allows the operator to reduce the flow rate if needed, to prevent splashing and reduce turbulence during filling.
The high strength, corrosion-resistant 6 mm Hastelloy C shaft offers outstanding performance against aggressive media such as oxidising acids and alkaline cleaners. Its reversible design provides a second wear surface, thereby doubling operational lifespan and delivering superior return on investment in harsh environments.
The FES fume gland (suitable for containers with G57 x 4 female bungholes), provides a reliable barrier against hazardous vapour emissions. This is useful when working with corrosive liquids that are hazardous to health, helping maintain local air quality and protecting the operator from inhalation exposure.
With its lightweight polypropylene construction, this kit is consequently ideal for mobile use in smaller processing areas, mobile cleaning stations or laboratories. The optimised centre of gravity ensures the drum remains stable during use.
Finally, alternative O-ring materials, motor voltages (110V), and compressed air drive options are available to meet specific site requirements. Furthermore, the modular design allows for future upgrades with minimal outlay. Flux aims to offer products with the lowest whole-life cost, hence all parts are available to buy as spares, for extended service life.
The Flux FES 800 chemical drum pump for cleaning agents is ideal for transferring a range of pure, non-crystallising liquids, including:
