The FBM B3100 is powered by a high-performance 18V Li-ion battery (model B15-3100) that provides up to 120 minutes of runtime. Under standard operation at 5,000 RPM, it can empty approximately ten 200-litre drums, before recharging is required. Therefore, this makes it highly suitable for field use, mobile applications, or facilities where trailing cables may create a hazard.
Additionally, recharging takes just 30 minutes using the dedicated BCH-3100 fast charger, allowing operators to rotate batteries with minimal disruption to operations. With built-in safety features such as deep discharge, overcurrent and temperature protection, the battery system ensures long-term reliability and safe use in professional environments.
Firstly, the FEM 3070 is a plug-in, 230 W electric brushed motor, designed for use inside production facilities, workshops or processing areas. Drum pump motors are available for both 110 V and 230 V single-phase power supplies. Its continuous duty rating (marked S1) allows uninterrupted, heavy duty use – which can consequently overload and shut down inferior motors. Furthermore, this motor is an internally-cooled, single walled design, with IP 24 protection against dust and liquid ingress. Consider that cooling air is pulled through the motor windings by an integral fan, therefore, this motor should not be used in environments with corrosive fumes. It is supplied with a standard 5 m cable for operational flexibility.
In contrast, the FBM B3100 is battery powered, for ultimate mobility and precision control. It is utilises our extremely quiet, brushless DC motor with stepless speed adjustment. Additionally, it is maintenance-free, light weight and utilises a double-walled IP 44 Polyamide enclosure, for resistance to steam and fumes. The power rating is 200W, thereby making it suitable for a wide range of drum and IBC emptying tasks. Its ability to operate without a mains power connection makes it indispensable for remote, outdoor applications.

The FEM 3070 is an internally ventilated commutator motor, optimised for indoor use and continuous operation, if needed. It delivers reliable performance at a competitive price. Two manually-selectable speed levels make it ideal for batch filling, container decanting, or additionally laboratory liquid transfer. The quick-action coupling system allows rapid attachment and detachment from CombiFlux pump tubes, supporting fast changeovers when dedicated pumps are installed in individual liquid containers.
Its overload protection cut-out switch automatically shuts down the motor in the event of overload, for example, pumping fluids with excessively high viscosity or density. With a compact, ergonomic polyamide housing weighing only 1.5 kg, it promotes comfortable one-handed use, reducing operator fatigue during repeated use.
FBM B3100 – battery motor operation
The FBM B3100 offers fully portable, cable-free operation, thereby allowing technicians to complete pumping operations in areas without electrical power infrastructure. Driven by a high-efficiency, extremely quiet brushless motor, it also features stepless speed control for adjustable flow rate from approximately 8 – 33 LPM. Moreover, a soft-start function protects the motor from excessive wear and minimises splashing hazard.
In addition, the 2.5 Ah 18V lithium-ion battery provides up to 120 minutes of runtime and can empty ten 200-litre drums at 5,000 RPM, on a single charge. An integrated temperature control system safeguards the motor, while the fast charger (BCH-3100) can recharge an empty battery in just 30 minutes. The sealed design with IP44 ingress protection promotes outdoor use and operation in tough applications, such as emptying acid baths, or transferring high temperature fluids where steam may be present.
