Flux F 430 Barrel Kit | Drum Pump for Acid and Alkali Transfer

£953.51£962.76

The Flux F 430 drum pump kit is a one-box solution for safe and efficient chemical transfer and decanting. This pre-assembled kit can be installed in seconds, so you can start your pumping tasks right after delivery. Specifically designed to handle low to medium concentration acids and alkalis, this pump is compatible with either standard 200-220-litre drums or 1000-litre IBCs.  Constructed from chemically resistant polypropylene and featuring a 6 mm Hastelloy C driveshaft and our unique high strength, steel-cored inner tube, the Flux F 430 is the class-leading pump for heavy duty applications in demanding environments. Furthermore, its energy-efficient, variable-speed motor provides the control needed for accurate chemical dispensing.  Whether in chemical processing, manufacturing operations or industrial cleaning applications, the F 430 is the ideal drum pump for acid or alkali transfer applications requiring reliability, chemical compatibility and long service life.

Corrosive fluids present significant pumping challenges—therefore safety, material compatibility, leakage control and long-term durability are critical. The Flux F430 is:

  1. Engineered for aggressive media

Firstly, the F430’s strength lies in its materials of construction. The steel-cored polypropylene inner tube provides excellent strength and resistance to acids and alkalis, while the 6 mm diameter Hastelloy C driveshaft ensures superior mechanical strength and corrosion resistance against oxidising or chlorinated media. This combination allows safe handling of dilute sulphuric, phosphoric, hydrochloric, boric and fruit acids, amongst others.

  1. Advanced impeller for optimised flow

The ETFE axial impeller is designed for handling low-viscosity media, delivering high volumetric flow while maintaining low energy demand and minimising turbulence. Its geometry delivers stable, pulsation-free flow, thereby enhancing fluid control during dispensing or dosing.

  1. High integrity mechanical seal

Equipped with a precision engineered ceramic-oxide mechanical seal with FKM O-ring, the pump consequently offers robust protection against leaks and chemical attack. This sealing configuration effectively isolates critical internal components from solids-laden or crystallising fluids, thereby extending service life and protecting the operator.

  1. Tool-free maintenance and cleaning

Furthermore, the F430 is designed for rapid disassembly without the use of specialised tools. This facilitates fast cleaning, reduces downtime between media changes and further simplifying routine maintenance tasks. The sealed inner tube prevents fluid ingress and reduces the wetted area, improving drainage and therefore maintaining product quality.

  1. Extended service life through enhanced bearing design

The pump utilises multiple oversized, vibration-resistant shaft bearings—five bearings for 1000 mm tubes and six for 1200 mm versions. These provide axial support and absorb radial forces, thereby reducing wear and mechanical stress. This results in smooth operation, lower noise emissions and additionally, extended service intervals.

  • Dosing hydrochloric acid, sodium bisulphite or sodium hypochlorite in water treatment plants
  • Transferring phosphoric acid solutions in pharmaceutical manufacturing
  • Decanting alkali solutions and disinfection agents for industrial cleaning processes

This kit is ideal for transferring the following acids and chemical solutions, however please consider concentration and temperature conditions:

  • Phosphoric acid – up to 50% concentration
  • Hydrochloric acid – up to 30% concentration
  • Sulphuric acid – up to 40% concentration
  • Boric acid
  • Fruit acids (e.g. citric, malic)
  • Alkali solutions (optional EPDM o-rings available on request)

Always confirm compatibility via chemical resistance charts or consult Flux Pumps UK for technical support.

  • Modular design – fully serviceable with spare parts readily available
  • Non-metallic wetted components, Hastelloy shaft and FKM o-rings ensure resistance to a broad range of chemicals
