Corrosive fluids present significant pumping challenges—therefore safety, material compatibility, leakage control and long-term durability are critical. The Flux F430 is:
Firstly, the F430’s strength lies in its materials of construction. The steel-cored polypropylene inner tube provides excellent strength and resistance to acids and alkalis, while the 6 mm diameter Hastelloy C driveshaft ensures superior mechanical strength and corrosion resistance against oxidising or chlorinated media. This combination allows safe handling of dilute sulphuric, phosphoric, hydrochloric, boric and fruit acids, amongst others.
The ETFE axial impeller is designed for handling low-viscosity media, delivering high volumetric flow while maintaining low energy demand and minimising turbulence. Its geometry delivers stable, pulsation-free flow, thereby enhancing fluid control during dispensing or dosing.
Equipped with a precision engineered ceramic-oxide mechanical seal with FKM O-ring, the pump consequently offers robust protection against leaks and chemical attack. This sealing configuration effectively isolates critical internal components from solids-laden or crystallising fluids, thereby extending service life and protecting the operator.
Furthermore, the F430 is designed for rapid disassembly without the use of specialised tools. This facilitates fast cleaning, reduces downtime between media changes and further simplifying routine maintenance tasks. The sealed inner tube prevents fluid ingress and reduces the wetted area, improving drainage and therefore maintaining product quality.
The pump utilises multiple oversized, vibration-resistant shaft bearings—five bearings for 1000 mm tubes and six for 1200 mm versions. These provide axial support and absorb radial forces, thereby reducing wear and mechanical stress. This results in smooth operation, lower noise emissions and additionally, extended service intervals.
This kit is ideal for transferring the following acids and chemical solutions, however please consider concentration and temperature conditions:
Always confirm compatibility via chemical resistance charts or consult Flux Pumps UK for technical support.
