The Flux F 430 PVDF kit is engineered for pumping chemically aggressive, high concentration acids in demanding, heavy duty applications. Furthermore, every component in contact with the media is carefully selected for its resistance to chemical degradation, thermal shock and mechanical fatigue.
Firstly, polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) offers superior resistance to halogens, oxidising agents and concentrated mineral acids. This makes the F 430 an excellent choice for highly concentrated acids such as nitric, sulphuric and hydrofluoric, as well as disinfectants such as sodium hypochlorite and chloric acid. Compared to standard polypropylene plastic pumps, PVDF offers superior chemical resistance and improved service life when handling these corrosive fluids.
The 6 mm Hastelloy C driveshaft resists corrosion from halogenated and oxidising chemicals, while the ceramic oxide mechanical seal with FKM o-rings effectively seals the inner tube, protecting the bearings from damage. This design prevents leaks, minimises vapour exposure and extends operational life—especially when handling crystallising, abrasive or solids-laden fluids.
The unique Flux steel-cored inner tube provides high strength and thermal stability, for optimal mechanical seal support. With a maximum operating temperature of 80°C and compatibility with liquids densities up to 1.5 kg/L, this pump is suitable for challenging industrial applications where both temperature and chemical attack are concerns.
Finally, the Flux F 430 pump is a modular design and basic disassembly can be completed without tools. Consequently, this makes cleaning and inspection simple and cost-effective—ideal for operations requiring frequent media changes or stringent hygiene control.
The Flux F430 drum pump for corrosive liquids is ideal for the following applications:
