A battery drum pump is the perfect solution for businesses needing a flexible, cordless and lightweight container emptying pump. Whether handling acids, alkalis, oils, or water-based liquids, the Flux CombiFlux battery drum pump with drive motor FBM-B 3100 delivers high performance with maximum convenience. Unlike traditional electric pumps, this rechargeable drum pump eliminates power cables, removing trip hazards and making it ideal for use in remote locations. It can even be used to empty IBC containers.
This advanced battery-powered pump system offers:
With its lightweight, ergonomic design, the CombiFlux battery drum pump is easy to handle, eliminating manual handling issues while improving productivity.
This rechargeable drum pump is suitable for every industry, including chemical processing, manufacturing and also water treatment. It can continuously transfer liquids with a viscosity of up to 250 mPas and a density of 1.3. This makes it ideal for handling low- to medium-viscosity fluids such as dilute acids, detergents, coolants and oils. You can transfer liquids with higher viscosity and density for short periods, but this may reduce flow rate and battery life.
For maximum convenience, you can swap the motor between different CombiFlux FP 314 pump tubes. Thus, pump tubes can be dedicated to specific liquids while using the same motor. This reduces cross-contamination risk and also provides an economical solution to pumping smaller quantities.

The FLUX battery drum pump is powered by a brushless battery motor, ensuring long-lasting performance without the need for regular maintenance. Unlike traditional motors that require replacement carbon brushes every 800 hours or so, this maintenance-free motor delivers maximum reliability and minimal downtime. This design not only extends the motor’s lifespan but also ensures consistent performance over time.
Because the motor operates independently of mains power, the rechargeable drum pump provides complete flexibility. Users can transfer liquids anywhere, without an electricity or air compressed air supply, therefore making it ideal for outdoor use, remote locations or mobile applications. The quick-release battery pack further enhances convenience, allowing uninterrupted operation by simply swapping to a fully charged battery when needed.
Being a Flux motor, you can count on us to deliver a robust product! That’s why this motor has an IP 44 double-walled housing, for maximum resistance to corrosive fumes. You can use it in tough industrial applications, such as emptying acid baths, plating solutions and transferring industrial chemicals.
This battery-powered motor ensures safe, hassle-free liquid transfer, therefore making it the perfect choice for laboratories, water treatment sites, production facilities and chemical plants. By combining flexibility, power and also efficiency, the CombiFlux FP 314 battery drum pump with brushless motor FBM- B3100 motor ensures that you can move liquids quickly, cleanly and with minimal effort.
A battery drum pump is a portable, cordless solution for transferring common liquids from barrels, IBCs and containers. Unlike mains-powered or pneumatic pumps, they do not require an external power source, making them ideal for remote locations, outdoor use, or applications where trailing cables can create a trip hazard. An ideal solution for emptying smaller containers containing dilute acids, alkalis, oils and disinfectants, these pumps are in use with water authorities, hospitals, laboratories, swimming pools and also chemical processing plants throughout the world.
The lightweight motor weighs only 1.2 Kg and the ergonomic design allows one-handed operation, therefore reducing risk of operator injury and making it comfortable for prolonged use. The brushless motor technology ensures consistent performance with minimal wear and tear. This results in longer service life, reduced maintenance and increased reliability. Additionally, variable speed control allows the user to vary the flow rate and improve dispensing control, thereby reducing waste and improving productivity. Furthermore, the modular design lets you use the same motor with various pump tubes, providing a cost-effective and adaptable solution for different filling and dispensing operations.
Battery pumps will of course, be limited by battery life. Even the best battery pack has a finite run time. Pumping high-density or higher viscosity products over 250 mPas will also negatively impact battery life, as will pumping high vertical and / or long horizontal distances.
For example, battery life is reduced by more than 50% when transferring concentrated Sulphuric Acid with an S.G. of 1.84. In addition, battery motors are not suitable for use with high viscosity barrel pumps, due to the high torque loads required, especially when pumping adhesive, sticky media.
At maximum motor speed (15,000 RPM), this battery drum pump can empty a drum containing 200-litres of water in just 3 minutes. When operated at low speed (5,000 RPM), over 3000 litres can be pumped on a single charge. That’s over fifteen 200-litre drums! Furthermore, the high-efficiency brushless motor guarantees uninterrupted operation, even in demanding environments.
As with many electric barrel pumps, a rechargeable drum pump consists of two main components, the battery motor and also the pump tube. The motor drives the rotary pumping mechanism inside the pump tube. Most common battery powered drum pumps are centrifugal designs.
In this case, a rotating bladed impeller is mounted in the end of the pump tube. The impeller attaches to a long driveshaft that passes through the centre of the pump tube. A series of bearings support the driveshaft. The impeller rotates at high speed, thereby applying centrifugal force to the liquid and generating flow.
The impeller must be immersed in the fluid in order to create flow. The pump cannot “suck up” the liquid, as it does not create a vacuum. It is not a self-priming pump. Operation relies on the force applied by atmospheric pressure to push liquid to the impeller.
Assuming a battery drum pump is suitable for the application, ie. performance and liquid compatibility have been checked, you should consider the following points in order to select the most appropriate pump:
