A battery drum pump is the perfect solution for businesses needing a flexible, cordless and lightweight container emptying pump. Whether handling acids, alkalis, oils, or water-based liquids, Flux battery drum pump solutions deliver high performance with maximum convenience.
Choose from two brushless models: the lightweight FMB 3100 Combiflux battery motor and the new, high power FBM 4100 battery motor with smart features. Each is paired with a compatible pump tube to suit different liquids and performance requirements. They can be used to empty drums, IBCs, smaller containers and even tanks (when combined with our MiniFlux pump). And of course, rechargeable drum pumps do not require power cables, eliminating trip hazards and making them ideal for use in remote locations.
This lightweight, light duty, rechargeable drum pump is suitable for every industry, including chemical processing, manufacturing and water treatment. It can continuously transfer liquids with a viscosity of up to 250 mPas and a density of 1.3. This makes it ideal for handling low- to medium-viscosity fluids such as dilute acids, detergents, coolants and oils. It’s possible to transfer liquids of higher viscosity and density for short periods, but this will reduce flow rate and battery life.
The FBM-B 3100 motor can be switched between different CombiFlux FP 314 pump tubes in seconds. Therefore, pump tubes can be dedicated to specific liquids but are powered the same motor. This reduces cross-contamination risk and more importantly, provides an economical solution to pumping smaller quantities from multiple containers.
Heavy-duty F 400 series pumps are a common sight on industrial sites across the world. These pumps are designed for transferring a huge range of different liquids from drums, barrels and IBC containers, at high flow rates and discharge pressure.
For serious cordless performance, choose the heavy-duty FBM 4100 battery motor. Developed for tough, industrial and food processing applications, it combines high power, a choice of battery sizes and smart controls such as an LED work light, programmable batch timers, selectable dry-run protection and an auxiliary socket for connection of flow meters, level controls and remote stop-stop switches. Select from different pump tube types and materials to suit your application and media, including polypropylene, PVDF, aluminium and stainless steel options. Please note: the FBM-B 4100 is not suitable for ATEX / Ex applications.
If you use another manufacturer’s drum pump tubes, you can still benefit from Flux’s intelligent cordless technology. The FBM 4100 battery motor is compatible with many third‑party pump tubes, when used with a suitable adaptor (sold separately).
Upgrade your old pump by adding smart features and benefits of cordless, without replacing your entire pump system.
Whether you choose the compact CombiFlux FBM 3100 battery drum pump, or a higher-performance configuration using the FBM 4100, Flux battery drum pumps provide safe and efficient liquid transfer without the limitations of mains power.

Not many. Battery drum pumps are limited by battery life, especially when handling high density or high viscosity liquids, pumping over long distances or at high discharge pressure. Even with the class-leading FBM 4100 motor, battery depletion occurs faster in demanding applications, or when handling sticky, adhesive substances.
Very Fast! Our new FBM 4100 model with 420 W brushless motor delivers up to 15% more flow than our standard 500 W electric motor. At maximum motor speed (12,000 RPM), flow rates up to 218 LPM are possible. This means you can empty a 200-litre drum of water in around 1 minute. Note that actual flow rate depends on the media, hose size, hose length and system pressure losses.
A rechargeable drum pump uses a battery-powered motor to spin a shaft-driven impeller at high speed inside a pump tube, creating centrifugal force that moves liquid. Mounting the impeller at the pump tube inlet ensures immersion in the fluid. The pump relies on atmospheric pressure to push liquid to the impeller – the pump does not self-prime.
To choose the best battery drum pump, assess battery life, charging time, ergonomics, quality, modularity, smart features, safety certifications and availability of accessories and repair support. For tough tasks, opt for high power models such as the Flux FBM 4100, which delivers high flow, longer battery runtime and greater reliability for demanding environments.
