To supplement our diverse range of drum pumps, FLUX offers a wide selection of accessories to enhance and improve operator experience and safety. For example, did you know you can lift a Flux drum pump effortlessly from a container using a carrying handle and spring balancer? Or regulate emissions of harmful vapours using a fume gland? Additionally, space-saving storage solutions ensure pumps are stored safely and conveniently. Furthermore, for every application, there is a suitable hose—pre-configured and cut to the required length.
Our pre-configured pump kits include everything required to start pumping straight out of the box, including accessories such as hose, hand nozzle and compression gland. Whether for mobile or static use, the Flux range of accessories transforms Flux drum pumps into custom pumping systems. FLUX fume glands prevent the emission of flammable or corrosive vapours when pumping from drums or IBC containers, safeguarding both operators and the environment. Fume glands provide the following features and benefits:
FLUX hand nozzles are available in a range of sizes and materials to suit any liquid dispensing process. Firstly, they ensure high operational safety with their robust design and excellent sealing properties. The ergonomically designed trigger lever and swivel joint with ball bearings also makes dispensing comfortable and efficient for the operator. Furthermore, FEP and PTFE internals provide corrosion resistant, leak-proof sealing. Therefore, our hand nozzles are the perfect partner to your Flux drum pump.
Flux pumps can be used in many applications where impurities are unavoidable, such as:
In such instances, solid particles such as sand, silt and swarf need to pass through the pump. This is no problem for our F 310 and F 430 pumps with mechanical seal - these pumps will pass particles < 2 mm in size without any problems. However, larger particles entering the pump can cause blockages and jammed impellers, resulting in severe damage. A slotted strainer mounted on the pump inlet helps protect the pump, ensuring reliable operation.

Efficient handling accessories make working with Flux drum pumps effortless. Lifting a pump out of a drum becomes easy with tools such as a carrying handle and spring balancer.
Accessories available:
With suitable flowmeter, amplifier, hoses, valves and accessories, a Flux drum pump can be customised into a highly efficient, one-touch dispensing system.
Every application requires a specific hose—pre-configured and cut to the necessary length for seamless integration with Flux drum pumps.
A suction strainer is a protective accessory mounted at the pump inlet, or suction pipe inlet, in the case of an air operated diaphragm pump. It prevents mechanical damage resulting from ingress of solid particles during fluid transfer. When using Flux drum pumps, especially in environments where contaminants are common, such as bunded areas, CNC machine sumps, or open process tanks, solid particles like metal swarf, grit, or sediment can enter the pump.
The suction strainer acts as a first line of defence, intercepting debris larger than approximately 1.5 mm, which could otherwise cause impeller blockage, excessive bearing wear, or pump failure. Suction strainers ensure:
Flux offers suction strainers in polypropylene, PVDF and stainless steel. Check chemical resistance charts and choose the material most suitable for the pumped fluids. Only stainless steel strainers should be used when pumping highly flammable liquids. These strainers are easy to install and remove, being either push-fit or secured via a grub screw. An effective suction strainer can be essential to ensure reliable performance of your Flux drum pump system.
For pumping non-flammable chemicals in safe areas, you will typically require a hose connection that comprises a female union nut and captive hose tail. The union nut includes a polyethylene flat gasket. When the union is threaded onto the pump outlet, the flat gasket creates a leak-proof seal. Then the hose is pushed onto the hose tail before being secured with a suitably sized hose clamp. Hose connections are available in materials that match the pump, ie. pair a PVDF hose connection with a PVDF pump tube. Hose tails are available in three standard sizes – DN 19, DN 25 and DN 32.
Alternative solutions include quick-release Camlock type fittings and swaged, bolted hose connections for use in hazardous areas. Swaged connections are commonly offered in brass and stainless steel materials. They incorporate the female swivel union with flat seal that connects to the pump outlet, plus a hose tail as previously described, but rather than securing the hose with a separate traditional clamp, they utilise two half clamps that are either secured by four bolts, or a single locking pin. This provides a totally secure connection between the hose tail and the hose. Thus, swaged connections are suitable for use in Ex Zoned areas where a conductive connection is essential.
Hoses are available in materials such as PVC, EPDM, NBR and conductive fluoropolymer-lined, or polyethylene-lined variants. Each hose is selected based on the chemical compatibility with the pumped medium and its approvals. Quality hose connections not only prevents leaks, but ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental standards.
A solenoid valve is an electromechanically operated valve that controls the flow of liquids or gases. When integrated into a Flux drum pump system, it enables accurate one-touch dispensing with minimal operator intervention.
The valve operates by energising a coil, which moves a plunger or diaphragm to open or close the fluid path. This technology is essential for:
Using a solenoid valve in combination with a Flux flowmeter, amplifier and batch controller, creates an efficient, one-touch dispensing solution that enhances productivity, eliminates waste, improves safety and reduces the chance of operator error. Flux offers solenoid valves in various sizes and materials, including electrically or pneumatically actuated options, to accommodate a range of flow rates and chemicals.
