The Miniflux IBC tank pump is a compact, horizontally installed centrifugal pump for emptying IBCs through their low-level outlet. Miniflux is an alternative to vertical drum pumps, when access through the IBC top cap is not available, or desirable. The Miniflux efficiently transfers liquids when gravity draining is too slow, or when pumping to a high level dispense point, eg. a mezzanine floor or filling machine hopper.
The Miniflux features 316L stainless steel and ETFE construction, with a choice of o-ring materials to suit different liquids. Powered by our standard electric and compressed air drive motors, Miniflux embraces the Flux modular design concept, whereby the motor is attached to the pump with a quick-release union. Therefore, one F 400 series motor can be used to power many different pumps, keeping costs down. Additionally, Miniflux has ATEX certification, ensuring safe operation in hazardous environments, or when pumping flammable liquids with low flashpoints.
* The maximum delivery rate is a test bench value, measured with water at 20 ° C at the discharge port of the pump, without accessories (hose, nozzle, flow meter). Actual flow rate depends on the individual application (considering factors such as hose length, hose bore size, motor power, transfer distance) and the fluid properties. Please refer to technical data sheets / performance diagrams.
** Dependent on motor power and liquid properties.

The Sanitary Miniflux is a hygienic version of the Miniflux centrifugal pump, specifically designed for food, cosmetics and pharmaceutical applications. The pump meets FDA CFR 21 and EC 1935/2004 standards. Furthermore, the pump is a seal-less design with polished surfaces (<0.8 Ra) and minimal dead spaces to prevent contamination.
Constructed from stainless steel 316 (V4A), the Sanitary Miniflux connects to the IBC outlet valve using a 2” clamp or an S60 x 6 connection adapter. Rapid, tool-free disassembly takes just 20 seconds, thereby ensuring fast cleaning and effortless maintenance. Flux F 400 series electric and compressed air motors are available to power the pump, delivering flow rates up to 240 LPM and a maximum discharge pressure of 1.2 Bar.
In addition, the pump is extremely portable and easy to move between tanks and IBC containers. Miniflux is designed for use in low viscosity applications (<1000 mPas) where the liquid in the tank is above the level of the pump.

The key benefit of Miniflux IBC tank pump relates to its compact, lightweight, portable design. As a result, the pump can easily be moved between tanks and IBC containers, making it a cost-effective solution for pumping different media, in different locations. In addition, mounting the pump directly to the IBC outlet valve improves flow rate and eliminates inlet pipework (and thus potential for leaks). Adaptors are also available to connect the pump to almost any gravity-fed pipeline or tank outlet.
The pump can be used in facilities with low ceilings, or when IBC’s are placed on racking, which would preclude use of our traditional vertical IBC pumps. Miniflux is available in both industrial and sanitary, food-grade versions. It delivers high flow rates and is easy to clean and maintain, with all parts available to buy as spares. Furthermore, its modular design, with a choice of drive motors and o-ring materials, mean the pump can be configured for almost any low viscosity IBC transfer application. Additionally, it is ATEX-certified, making it suitable for use in hazardous Ex Zoned areas, eg distilleries, refineries or chemical plants.
Yes. The Miniflux Sanitary is designed specifically for hygienic applications. It meets FDA CFR 21 and / or EC 1935/2004 standards (depending on model), therefore, ensuring it is safe for pumping food, pharmaceutical and cosmetic ingredients, or finished products. Its innovative design with tool-free disassembly allows for extremely quick and easy cleaning, while the grease-free sealing concept eliminates contamination risk. It’s seal-less design also allows limited dry running and eliminates the need for mechanical seal replacement, reducing down-time. In addition, Miniflux sanitary can be driven by any Flux F 400 series motor, making it a highly flexible solution for handling different liquids, in different locations. These features ensure the Miniflux sanitary IBC pump is an excellent choice for transferring food-grade liquids, medicinal syrups and other hygiene-sensitive fluids.
Yes and no. The sanitary Miniflux is seal-less and can tolerate limited dry running. The industrial version has a ceramic-oxide mechanical seal. One seal face is fixed into the pump body. The rotating seal face is pushed against the stationary face by a spring behind the impeller. If the pump is run dry, the seal can overheat, potentially leading to failure and leakage. In general, centrifugal pumps such as these should not be run dry and Flux recommends that an operator is present during operation. This is especially important when the pump is controlled manually, rather than by remote control.
