Flux Miniflux IBC Pump

£982.17

The Miniflux is a high-performance, horizontally installed IBC pump for direct connection to a tank, IBC, tote or Pallecon outlet valve. This super-compact pump is ideal for use with stacked containers, or when height restrictions preclude the use of traditional, top-entry IBC pumps. We manufacture all Miniflux models from stainless steel 316 Ti.  Every model comes as standard with an S 60 x 6 female union nut for direct connection to an intermediate bulk container (IBC) outlet valve. However, you can request alternative inlet adaptors if required. Furthermore, industrial and sanitary models are available, depending on your application. Both use our modular quick-release motor connection, which facilitates connection of any F 400 series drive motor, including F 416 Ex compressed air models.  Miniflux Industrial utilises an ETFE impeller and FKM o-rings as standard. If needed, you can specify FFKM o-rings as an option. With full ATEX compliance, you can safely use the pump for handling highly flammable liquids. Therefore, this IBC pump is suitable for a wide range of low-viscosity and flammable media, including solvents, alcohols, petroleum products and other process chemicals. Miniflux sanitary has FDA / EN 1935 and FDA CFR 21 sanitary approvals and utilises our unique seal-less construction. You can quickly disassemble the pump for cleaning without using specialised tools.

Low level connection

Unlike our conventional pumps that are installed vertically through the top cap of the IBC, the Miniflux instead enables fluid extraction directly from the low level outlet valve. As a result, it offers a clear advantage in height-restricted areas, or when using stacked IBCs.

Furthermore, it significantly enhances flow rate when compared to gravity draining. Additionally, this compact IBC pump weighs just 1.2 kg and incorporates our quick-release motor coupling. Therefore, manual handling is extremely easy – the pump and motor can be connected and disconnected in seconds.

Industrial Miniflux is based on our highly successful F 430 pump design and incorporates a high-precision ETFE axial impeller and ceramic-oxide mechanical seal. Therefore, any F 400 series motor can power the pump – flow rates up to 240 LPM are possible, depending on the motor selection.

Stainless steel 316

Furthermore, the use of ETFE and stainless steel 316 ensures long-term resistance to corrosion, high temperatures and chemical degradation. And with full ATEX certification, Miniflux is suitable for handling highly flammable liquids, or use in Zoned areas. Not only that, you can use it to pump liquids that contain solids in suspension, or viscous fluids up to 1,000 mPas.

Whether you are dispensing flammable solvents in a paint factory, or transferring ethanol and glycerol blends in a cosmetic lab, the Miniflux provides power, flexibility and convenience. It also reduces manual handling risks and safety issues associated with lifting IBC’s, therefore helping meet stringent health and safety standards.

The answer to this question depends on the following factors:

  • Firstly, do you want to pump from the low-level IBC outlet valve or out of the top cap?
  • What type of IBC do you have? Various types are available, including standard polyethylene, stainless steel, collapsible and bag-in-box types.
  • What are the physical and chemical properties of the media? This will influence the material selection, approvals needed and type of pump that is suitable.
  • What power supply is available?
  • What flow rate and discharge pressure is needed?
  • Finally, what is the horizontal and vertical transfer distance?

  • Firstly, our F 400 series impeller pumps cover most transfer applications up to a maximum viscosity of 1,200 mPas. Vertical pumps (for insertion through the IBC cap) are available in a choice of materials, including aluminium, polypropylene, PVDF and stainless steel, therefore chemical compatibility concerns can be easily addressed. Vertical pumps in polypropylene tend to be the most cost-effective solution for common transfer tasks.
  • Alternatively, F 400 Miniflux impeller pumps are designed for horizontal installation and direct connection to IBC outlet valves, or low-level tank outlets. These pumps are available only in stainless steel, but with a choice of industrial (Ex-certified) or food-grade types. Therefore industrial Miniflux is ideal for pumping a wide range of fluids including flammable solvents and fuels.
  • F 570 series high viscosity pumps are available in both vertical and horizontal types and can handle difficult media up to 100,000 mPas.  TR series horizontal pumps can be installed directly in a pipeline, or connected to an IBC outlet valve via a short flexible hose.
  • Flux also offers specialist IBC pumps with unique features, such a mixing pumps, high-pressure pumps and 99.9% emptying pumps. Finally, if you are unsure, please do not hesitate to contact us for advice and support with your IBC pumping application.
