Application descriptions

Mixing and dispensing pesticides

Task:
Low-viscosity pesticides require mixing and dispensing into batching tanks. The customer is looking for a pump that can both mix and pump these liquids.

Application description:
The F426 drum pump is ideal for mixing and/or pumping diverse media up to 1000 mPas.

With F426, pesticides, which are prone to rapid separation, can be kept moving during the pumping process.

Operation is simple: The F426 drum pump is placed in the container to be emptied and started up. The operator can choose between three operating modes which can be switched during operation:

  1. Pump
  2. Pump and mix
  3. Occasionally mix only
Filling containers with animal attractant

Task:
An extremely sticky, viscous wild boar attractant requires filling into 5 l containers from a 1000 l IBC. Given the strong odour and stickiness, the process must minimise risk of spillage and control vapour emissions.

Application description:
Our F550 GS series eccentric worm-drive pumps are the perfect solution for sticky, viscous media up to 25,000 mPas.

F550 GS has intermediate gearing to reduce rotor speed and is designed for a relatively lightweight AC single-phase motor. This makes it easy to position the eccentric worm-drive pump in an IBC, drum, or container.

An optional stainless steel FMO104 flowmeter, equipped with our FLUXTRONIC® batch controller and the appropriate switched-mode amplifier, enable automation of the filling process. The customer can predefine the desired quantity and fill 5 litre containers at the push of a button. This process can be repeated until all containers have been filled.

Refuelling agricultural vehicles

Task:
Agricultural vehicles require refuelling with diesel or biodiesel from IBCs or drums.

Application description:
The F430 drum pumps make it possible for agricultural firms to set up their own vehicle "filling station" in their yard. These pumps, made from thick-walled aluminium, are ideal for diesel, biodiesel and vegetable oil. They are vertically inserted into the top of the IBC or drum. FEM4070 motor can be provided for 230 V mains power supply or 110V industrial supply.

Alternatively, for smaller fill quantities, FLUX could provide our CombiFlux FP 314 pump with cord-less, maintenance-free battery motor. This makes refuelling in remote locations possible.

The operator starts the pump, inserts the hand nozzle into the vehicle filler and then pulls the lever to control rate of dispense.

Our optional FMC flow meter can be installed between the drum pump and hose to display the delivery quantity. This enables the user to dispense the exact quantity they require.
